5 Months

Happy 5 month birthday to my sweet and perfect little angels!

May has been a very busy month for us. I went back to work, we had a wonderful Mother's Day, both aunties came to visit, great grandpa Mayes turned 90 years young, the LA Kings made it to won the Stanley Cup, and Jocelyn and Lucas keep growing and learning something new every day.

Off to Work I go!

After an amazing 5 months home with Jocelyn, Lucas and Rick, I am returning to work tomorrow. I am nervous, excited , sad, worried, etc. But it will be good to be around adults again! I have loved every minute I have spent with our two munchkins and will be sad to leave these cute faces...

And I am sad to leave Rick as well, playoff beard and all. Since he works from home, he has been with me every step of the way, supporting me and helping to take care of the twins. It has been a two man job and I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful partner in this journey!

Lucas' New Trick

Lucas picked up a new trick this week.  We think it is pretty funny...

Rolling

We had a big moment tonight... Jocelyn rolled from back to tummy. She has been working on it for a few weeks and finally got it. The best part... Lucas was watching her and within minutes flipped right over! Our little man barely rolls from tummy to back. Apparently he was letting her figure it out first!

Unfortunately we did not get photos or video, but both grandmas were here to witness!

4 Months

I can NOT believe the twins are already 4 months!  Rick and I were saying this morning that we really didn't think we would survive this long...Ha, I guess we surprised ourselves ;)

Jocelyn and Lucas had their 4 month doctor's appointment the other day... Jocelyn is 14lbs-5oz, 25.25" long and our little runt Lucas is 13lbs-5oz, 25" long. On our way home we bought them a jumper for their 4 month birthday present.  And although they can't sit in it quite right yet, they both love it.  I foresee us buying another one very soon. They are starting to not want to share their toys!

Here are some more 4 month photos...

Lucas and Daddy (don't pay any attention to his "playoff" beard!)

Jocelyn and Mommy trying to nap (don't pay any attention to my poor skin ;)

Lucas and his new hat
I previously mentioned he needed a new fun hat and I couldn't help myself when I saw this.  It will definitely be handed down to baby Sage this summer!
