One of my favorite benefits of staying local for the holidays are the friends we get to see when they visit Southern California to visit their families for the Christmas holiday. This week, my best friend from Cal Poly, McKenzie and her husband Scott flew to LA from Georgia and stayed with us for 24 hours before heading to the Central Coast to see their family. After they arrived Wednesday morning, our day consisted of eating breakfast at Schooners in Long Beach and then a scenic drive through the Palos Verdes Peninsula. We stopped at the Trump golf course to take in the view, stretch our legs and of course use their restroom ;)
